Avoid high glyceemic index foods
Posted in 2014

We get energy with Glucose..  What ever the food we take will be converted to Glucose which form our body uses to get energy.  Some foods immediately converted into glucose which consumes more insulin...  We should avoid these foods.  These are called High glyceemic index foods.

If you want to increase your fertility, avoid foods that make your blood sugar spike, especially if you're not pairing them with foods that slow down that rise. "Blood sugar spikes can cause inflammation, alter our hormones, and impede ovulation," says Tolbert. Try to choose slow burning carbs, like whole-wheat bread and pasta and brown rice over refined ones when possible, and combine them with protein, fiber, and healthy fats.

My advise
1...  What ever we eat will be converted into glucose.
2..   Our body will use Glucose to get energy

Mercury can damage nervous system
Posted in 2014

Mercury can damage the nervous system, which means that consuming mercury rich seafood like swordfish and bigeye tuna while pregnant could directly harm the fetus, says registered dietitian Kendra Tolbert. (The FDA recently updated its guidelines about safe and unsafe choices) Eating high-mercury fish before you're pregnant could build up stores of mercury in your body, which could also affect the development of the baby's nervous system. "The fetal nervous system is being formed before most woman even know they are pregnant," explains registered dietitian Suzanne Fisher. Mercury may also decrease fertility

My advise
1...  Most of fish varieties contain Mercury which damage nervous system
2...  Avoid these foods before you conceive.
3...  Birth defects like nervous debility is one of the cause of Mercury f…

Avoid artificial ingredients, synthetic hormones to get pregnant
Posted in 2014

A recent study in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics found that many women aren't eating as well as they should be when they're expecting a baby. (Eating right isn't easy, guys.) But if pregnant women are not nailing their diets once they're already pregnant, odds are their diets during the trying-to-conceive time aren't exactly full of greens and lean proteins either. So we wanted to know: What exactly constitutes a healthy diet when you're trying to conceive? Part of it is eating enough fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and other foods that are good for you, of course. Another is avoiding artificial ingredients, synthetic hormones, and potential contaminants that could make conception less likely and may be harmful to…

Without Sleep apnea allows adequate Oxygen in your Pregnancy
Posted in 2013

One of the primary similarities between sleep apnea and pregnancy involves fatigue.Pregnancy requires certain physical changes that come with growing new life; often including shortness of breath, due to the baby pressing against the mother’s diaphragm. The dividing line between both conditions determines how much oxygen the baby has access to and the level of restorative sleep the mother is able to achieve. Pregnancy without sleep apnea allows for adequate oxygen to get to the growing baby and provides an opportunity for the mother to benefit from deep sleep. Sleep apnea works against pregnancy in that it places a roadblock for oxygen or sleep to happen. This is because when the mother lies down to go to sleep, gravity paired with facial/airway obstruction make it impos…

Importance of Oxygen in your Pregnancy
Posted in 2013

The period of time between conception and birth holds tremendous power for the life-time health of the easily influenced growing human. During this 35-40 week pregnancy span an expectant mother must be in optimal health so that she can adequately supply her child with the nutrients needed for healthy development. Sleep apnea is an epidemic and has become increasingly common among pregnant women. The disorder is often characterized by a small airway, flaccid soft-tissue of the throat or underdeveloped anatomy. Oxygen restriction places the intrauterine baby at risk for: growth restriction (IUGR), diabetes or a stillbirthSleep apnea and pregnancy share a few similar symptoms, blurring the line between healthy and unhealthy body changes. Identifying the difference between the two will empower the mother to read her…

Calcium essential for your child's bone formation
Posted in 2013

Calcium is vital for making your baby’s bones and teeth. Dairy products and fish with edible bones - such as sardines - are rich in calcium. Breakfast cereals, dried fruit - such as figs and apricots - bread, almonds, tofu (a vegetable protein made from soya beans) and green leafy vegetables - such as watercress, broccoli and curly kale - are other good sources of calcium. The recommended dietary intake of calcium per day for pregnant women over 18 is 1000 mg, and 1300mg for teenagers aged 14-18 years. If you don’t eat enough calcium in your daily diet, you should take a calcium supplement of at least 1000mg per day. Calcium in combination with Vitamin D are complementary in maintaining bone health. My advise 1...  I have seen birth defects due to calcium deficiency..
2...  Many birt…

Vitamin C need increased in your pregnancy
Posted in 2013

The need for vitamin C is increased in pregnancy due to larger blood volume in the mother and the growth of the unborn baby. Vitamin C is important for the formation of collagen which is especially important in blood vessels. Vitamin C also improves adsorption of iron from your diet. The average requirement for vitamin C during pregnancy is 40mg/day but because of individual variation, some women may need 60mg/day or more. Excellent dietary sources of vitamin C include fruit and vegetables My advise 1..  Vitamin C helps to improve resistance power to your child.
2..  Vitamin C needs increased in your to protect your self from infections and improve body resistance of your unborn child.

Vitamin D helps to improve Bone structure of your child
Posted in 2013

You need vitamin D to keep your bones healthy and to provide your baby with enough vitamin D for the first few months of its life. Vitamin D regulates the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body, and these are needed to help keep bones and teeth healthy. Too little vitamin D can cause children’s bones to soften and can lead to rickets (a disease that affects bone development in children). Only a few foods contain vitamin D, such as oily fish, fortified margarines, some breakfast cereals and taramasalata. The best source of vitamin D is summer sunlight on your skin. The amount of time you need in the sun to make enough vitamin D is different for every person, and depends on things like skin type, the time of day and time of year. But you don’t need to sunbathe: the amount of s…

Iodine is essential for to regulate body temperature, Thyroid gland
Posted in 2013

Iodine is an essential mineral that we get from the food we eat. The developing baby in the womb, babies and young children are at greatest risk from a diet deficient in iodine. Iodine is needed in very small but essential amounts by the human body. Iodine is essential to the production of thyroid hormone, which regulates body temperature, metabolic rate, reproduction, growth, blood cell production and nerve and muscle function. Thyroid hormone is produced in the thyroid gland, which is in the neck. Mild to moderate iodine deficiency can result in learning difficulties and affect development of motor skills and hearing. While seafood is a good source of iodine, the amount of iodine in other food like milk and vegetables, depends on how much iodine is in the soil. Since a…

Folate is important for Healthy growth and development of your child
Posted in 2013

Folate is a B vitamin that is needed for healthy growth and development. Its requirements are increased during pregnancy for normal growth of the unborn baby. Adequate folate intake helps to prevent birth defects in the baby, such as spina bifida..

The chance that a pregnancy will be affected by a neural tube defect is less than one in 1000. However, there are a number of factors that will increase this risk. The main one is a close family history of neural tube defects.
Folate and folic acid are important for pregnancy since they can help prevent birth defects known as neural tube defects, such as spina bifida. Folate is a B group vitamin needed for healthy growth and development.
My advise

Low Iron levels may cause premature n low weight birth
Posted in 2013

Pregnancy can deplete a mother’s iron stores. Therefore, it is important to have an appropriate intake of iron to help build and maintain these stores. Low iron levels in early pregnancy have been linked to premature birth and low birth weight. The average requirement for iron in pregnancy is 22mg/day but some women will need 27mg/day or more. A mixed diet of animal and plant foods can help you achieve your iron intake. Absorption of iron is better from animal foods compared to plant sources, and the recommended dietary intakes are based on a mixed western diet. Red meat is the best source of iron as well as also being a good source of protein and zinc. Other meats like chicken and fish also contain iron but not as much as red meat. Iron can also be found in leafy green vegetables,…

Don't take Vitamin A supplement in your Pregnancy
Posted in 2013

Eating a healthy, varied diet in pregnancy will help you to get all the vitamins and minerals you need. There are some vitamins and minerals that are especially important.

It is best to get vitamins and minerals from the food you eat, but when you are pregnant you will need to take some supplements as well. Do not take vitamin A supplements, or any supplements containing vitamin A, as too much could harm your baby. You can get supplements from pharmacies and supermarkets, or your doctor may be able to prescribe them for you. If you want to get your folic acid or vitamin D from a multivitamin tablet, make sure that the tablet does not contain vitamin A (or retinol).
My advise
1...  Vitamin A supplements may harm your baby.
2...  Your healthy food contain it and it will not harm to U or…

Not pregnant: A woman who is not pregnant needs approximately 2,100 calories per day. Pregnant: A pregnant woman needs approximately 2,500 calories per day. Breastfeeding: A breastfeeding woman needs approximately 3,000 calories per day.The above are considered average height and personality.Depend on your height and personality energy required is changed My advise
1....  Energy in Oils is about 9000 Calories per liter.   Even a spoon of oil contains about 150 calories.
2...   This oil foods consumes more oxygen for digestion due to which your unborn child doesn't receive oxygen as needed.
3....  Due to lack of oxygen your child's brain and body development will be disturbed which causes birth defects.
4...   Follow healthy food to protect yourself and your unborn child.

How much energy you need per day?
Most of us understand that weight management depends upon the energy balance equation; the amount of energy you put into your body (food calories) versus the amount of energy you expend (activity). But how do you know how many calories your body needs to reach or maintain a certain weight? Understanding your body's energy requirements can help guide you when making nutritional choices. I'll show you two ways to determine your energy requirements, the accurate way and the easy way. The Accurate Way
There are three primary components that make up your body's energy expenditure. Adding these three components together, basal metabolic rate, energy expended during physical activity, and the thermic effect of food is the most accurate way of determining how many calories your body req…

Placental Problems: Women with placental abruption, or a pregnancy-related form of high blood pressure called preeclampsia or pregnancy induced hypertension, have twice the risk of abruption or stillbirth as unaffected women. Sometimes insufficient oxygen and nutrients can also contribute to a baby’s death.Birth Defects: Chromosomal disorders account for 15-20% of all stillborn babies. Sometimes a baby has structural malformations that are not caused by chromosomal abnormalities, but can result from genetic, environmental or unknown causes.Growth Restriction: Babies who are small or not growing at an appropriate rate are at risk of death from asphyxia (lack of oxygen) both before and during birth, and from unknown causes.Infections: Bacterial infections between 24 and 27 weeks gestation can cause fetal deaths. These infections usually go unnoticed b…

Stillbirth means if a child expires before delivery in mother's womb.

According to the National Stillbirth Society, stillbirth is defined as the intrauterine death and subsequent delivery of a developing infant that occurs beyond 20 completed weeks of gestation. Stillbirth occurs in about 1 in 160 pregnancies. The majority of stillbirths happen before labor, whereas a small percentage occur during labor and delivery. My advise 1..  Every couple wish to have healthy child
2..  If the child expires before delivery is called stillbirth
3..  It is due to insufficient oxygen or nutrients or water to the baby.  The major is high hypertension of mother... Control your hypertension with your life style and healthy food.

Birth defects....Limb and Joints
Posted in 2015

Limb and joint defects may be caused by genetic abnormalities, growth restriction in the womb, or mechanical forces. The diagnosis is based on a physical examination, x-rays, and sometimes ultrasonography. Usually, surgery is needed to correct the defect. Limbs or joints can be missing, deformed, or incompletely developed at birth. A child with one limb or joint abnormality is more likely to have another related abnormality. Limbs and joints may form abnormally. For example, bones in the hand and forearm may be missing because of a genetic defect. Normal development of a limb can also become disrupted in the womb. For example, a finger may stop growing because the finger gets constricted by fibers. Another cause of limb and joint abnormalities is mechanical force. For example, pressure may cause the hip to dislocate. Chromo…
